Hey everyone,

What is the core and why is it so important?

The muscles that surround our spine and pelvis are considered the “core” of our body. It’s the deepest layer of muscle tissue including your abs, glutes, inner thighs, and pelvic floor. These muscles should work together to create a stable core, which is essential for everything you do, from walking to lifting weights.

When the core fails to meet the stability demands of a movement, parts of the spine or other joints will be overloaded and this will increase the “Wear and Tear” on your body.

My biggest tip is to think of your core as a corset: When your core is strong and stable, it helps prevent overload and excessive stress in one area. This reduces your risk of injuries, pain, and unhealthy compensation patterns. You want to keep that strong core while exercising and also while doing daily activities like carrying groceries, going upstairs, and bending over to unload the dishwasher.

Here's the surprising part: The core isn't about creating movement, it's more about limiting unnecessary and dysfunctional motion. That's why somebody may have a six-pack, but not necessarily have good stability, healthy movement patterns, and true core strength.

This is what we do with the MUV method-  we Help you maintain that tight core around your spine so that you feel good, reduce inappropriate movements, avoid injuries, and sustain physical health in the short and long run!

Unleash your core strength! It is the secret to injury-free living.
